Why We Started FinPath
Having worked across finance operations, analysis and budgeting, we understand how challenging it can be for candidates to secure that first opportunity, gain valuable experience and take the next step. We’ve experienced the challenges many finance professionals face when trying to secure opportunities and progress their careers.

We founded FinPath because we believe recruitment should be personal, relationship-focused and built on genuine understanding. By combining first-hand finance knowledge with extensive recruitment expertise, we help employers find finance professionals who can make a real impact while supporting candidates in building rewarding long-term careers.

MEET THE FOUNDER
James Fawcett
James founded FinPath Recruitment, bringing together experience across finance and accounting in the public and charity sectors.
He holds an MSc in Accounting, Finance & Strategic Investments with Distinction from Newcastle University and is also a CIMA member. His experience working closely with finance teams and managing complex budgets gives him a first-hand understanding of the skills, challenges and career paths within the profession.
James created FinPath to provide a more personal, focused approach to finance recruitment — helping ambitious early-career professionals access opportunities while supporting employers in finding the right talent.
While FinPath was founded by James, it is supported by a small team behind the scenes, helping to deliver the personal and responsive service FinPath is built around.
